The Manhattan Vintage Book & Ephemera Fair, Fine Press Book Fair

Held on Saturday, April 11, at its new location: The Church of St. Vincent Ferrer, 869 Lexington Avenue at 66th Street. Hours are 8 a.m.–4 p.m., with appraisals by John Bruno, star of the hit PBS series, Market Warriors, from 1-3 p.m. Admission: adults $15, youths 12-21 $7, under 13 free with paid adult. The work of fine printer and wood engraver Gaylord Schanilec (of Midnight Paper Sales) will be exhibited by Oak Knoll Books of New Castle, Delaware. His newest work, Lac Des Pleurs, a towering achievement in letterpress printing bound in 100 numbered copies at Booklab II with cover paper marbled for the edition by Jemma Lewis, will be offered for $7,800. oakknoll.com

Boomerang Booksellers of Northampton, Massachusetts, plans to offer a selection of books under $400, including a Lynd Ward first edition and a first edition of One Time, One Place: Mississippi in the Depression, A Snapshot Album by Eudora Welty. Offered by First Folio of Paris, Tennessee, are two morocco-bound beauties: A four-volume 1886 edition of Boccaccio’s Decameron, printed on Japan vellum and bound in full red crushed morocco for $3,500 and this vellucent Cedric Chivers binding (in full brown crushed morocco) of Gertrude Burford Rawlings’ The Booke of Thenseygnegmentes and Techynge that the Knyght of the Towre Made to his Doughters … (1902) for $2,750. first-folio.com
