The Manhattan Vintage Book & Ephemera Fair & Fine Press Book Fair
“The Shadow Show”—to be held on Saturday, March 11, at the Church of St. Vincent Ferrer, 869 Lexington Avenue at 66th Street (across from the Armory). Hours are 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., with appraisals by John Bruno, star of the hit PBS series, Market Warriors, from 2 – 4 p.m. Admission: $15 for adults, $7 for youths aged 12-21, and free for those under 12 with paid adult. Three Miles From Providence: A Tale of Abraham Lincoln and the Soldiers’ Home (2007) was created by David Bruce Smith for the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Hand-sewn and bound in cowhide leather, it was designed to resemble a Civil War soldier’s carrying case. Available from exhibitor Smith Publications of Washington, D.C.
